I’m just finding out about what is going on. Sounds pretty horrifying. Another sad event happening near the end of the year.

Thank you for sharing this. I tried to work on a draft today but couldn’t. For the moment, I can only think of the bright lights not of the city but of emergency vehicles, as the wounded were cared for, and dead were attended to, and law enforcement guarded around and through it all. News feeds from CNN. Well-done, well-informed, and terrible. Thanks for your remembrances.

I couldn’t bring myself to post anything either, but only this, a reminder for us to stand united with France in this tragic time.

A leader in the government (I don’t remember who it was) reminded us that France is our oldest ally. Though that’s true, I don’t think that matters as much as simply reacting to what happened in a human way and, as you say, “stand united with France.” The people of France need this. All of us at some time do. Thanks again.
