Mr. Fake U.S.A

Fallacy personified.

“You’re a loser.”

We are all wrong.

He is the best,

in his own little world.

Women are bimbos.

Muslims are evil.

Mexicans are criminals.

To the Man, you talk.

Berating, insulting, confusing.

No need to name you,

Recognizable to every human.

Reveling in fame,

it is short lived.

The people of the world

will strike you out.

Day 6 of Writing 101, Poetry and the prompt is: Fallacy! Thanks to Jason PreuΒ for the idea. Feeling pretty snarky today so getting my frustration out on this one person whom I think we all know should tape their mouth shut. I don’t mean to offend anyone with this, obviously the three “statements” I wrote in the middle are false. Chose this person as a topic because literally, he is a personified fallacy. Looking at his history he is fond of the use of Ad Hominem fallacy (latin for “to the man”) which isΒ an attack on an argument made by attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, rather than attacking the argument directly. Sounds about right. If there are some that don’t know who I am referencing, here is a picture.

“The people of the world \ will strike you out.” That is what give me the most hope about fallacious things – though it takes time, the world strikes them out. Nice job.

Goodness, this is good. You directly name the evil ways some think. Especially Voldemort in the toup’. (Great photo, too.) “The people of the world/will strike you out.” Outstanding conviction and inspiring. Thank you!
